This blog is about an average girl living a one of a kind life. Here is a little look into my life
I am an average young woman. I grew up in a middle class Hispanic family. I did sports in high school. I went to a community college and transferred to a state university. I served tables to put myself through school. I like to watch HGTV, Sons of Anarchy, and Law & Order SVU. I like wine and Cheez-Its.
I am trying to live a life that is worth telling. I want to live a rich life. Not in monetary value (although financial security is important) but a life rich in experiences. I want to be able to tell my grandchildren one of a kind stories that inspire them to live an extraordinary life themselves.
I am constantly thinking of how lucky I am to have the things that I do. Not the things that don’t matter but the things that are necessary for every person to live regardless of race, religion, etc. I mean the things like a roof over my head, clean water, the sewage system, adequate food with nutrients, and other essentials. How lucky am I and am I so deserving to be among the richest of the world when there are so many fighting just for life? Do not misunderstand me, I am a struggling student who eats croutons for dinner to save money for rent but at the least I am a happy and healthy person. There are so many out there who are not even healthy enough to stand because of the lack of nutrition in their bodies. Yet, I am an able bodied person and I believe God has put me on this Earth to help those who do not have the resources to help themselves. My aspiration is to one day work for an organization like UNICEF or Red Cross to help those of third world countries in any way that God sees fit for me. Along the way I plan to enjoy these blessings I have been given and not take a day for granted although sometimes life does get the best of me. But it’s all a journey and a precious one at that.
